Holiday outing to benefit Toys for Tots, Homeless Cat Project

GREATER SPRINGFIELD The Westfield Homeless Cat Project and Toys for Tots have joined forces with Peter Pan Bus Lines to bring cheer to children and benefit our furry friends alike this holiday season. Tickets are now on sale for a magical ride on the famous Peter Pan open top doubledecker buses, which will be "taking off" from the Dante Club, located at 1198 Memorial Ave., West Springfield, on Dec. 17. Buses will start boarding at 5:30 p.m., and depart promptly at 6 p.m., to "land" at the fabulous display of holiday magic, Bright Nights at Forest Park!

There will be home made baked goodies for all, as well as a crazy hat contest, where the person wearing the craziest hat will receive a $25 cash prize. A raffle for a holiday lottery tree will also take place, where the winning ticket may be worth thousands of dollars!

Tickets are $10 per person. For tickets please contact Robin Gingras at 237-6200 or 538-8637 or send an e-mail to robingingras@comcast.net.

For those people who wish to sit on the top level of the buses, please be sure to bundle up against the cold perhaps bring a blanket and let's hope for snow! (Feel free to bring a basket of your favorite holiday goodies to share with all.)

The Westfield Homeless Cat Project and Toys for Tots extend thanks to Peter Picknelly for his generous support over the years.
