Hampden's Citizen of the Year

Rick Rubin, president of the Hampden Lions Club, announced that Carol Fitzgerald was the club's Citizen of the Year at the Annual Town Meeting. Fitzgerald is part of the town's Advisory Committee, the Personnel Policy Board, the Volunteers in Public Schools/Read Aloud Committee and was part of Minnechaug Pride. Through her work at the Center for Human Development (CHD) she is also involved in the Springfield School Volunteers Board and is on the committee for the golf tournament that benefits MaryAnne's Kids, a CHD program which benefits children in foster care.
