Hats off to the DPW

Hats off to David Gromaski, superintendent and John Collins, operations manager and the entire crew of our town’s Department of Public Works.

To my mind they gave an all-out effort relative to the Oct. 29 snowstorm. First, to remove the snow to the extent they could — working around fallen trees, limbs, and wires. Then they moved swiftly to clear the roads of debris.

I know for many, the storm caused inconvenience and damage to their property and homes. Nonetheless, I believe we are fortunate to have such a hard-working and dedicated group of people in our Department of Public Works to restore a sense of normalcy so quickly.
