New library WishList
The Friends of East Longmeadow Public Library have a long history of providing funds for supplies, equipment, and materials the library budget can't afford, and for creating and financing programs for library patrons and the public to enjoy. Our dream is to make your library an even better place for you, your children and grandchildren. Over the years we have held many different types of fundraising events that have been very successful thanks to the generosity of the East Longmeadow community.
We would now like to introduce our new online fundraising program called Library WishList. To access this new program, click on the Library WishList logo on our library webpage (eastlongmeadow-library.org). Browse through colorful pages filled with books, volunteer opportunities and items we need for your library. It's fun! Choose an item you'd like to see at the library, make a tax deductible contribution toward the purchase (no amount is too small), or sponsor an item in memory of a loved one. When the "wish" is completed we'll let you know, and the next time you're in the library you can see the wish you helped make come true.
If you are a patron of the East Longmeadow Public Library, you're eligible to become a member of the Friends, whether you live in town or not. We invite you to become a member at the level you choose, whether it be monetary support only or monetary support plus active involvement. Either way, your support will make a difference. On the Library WishList site, click on the Join Us link, choose your membership level, fill in your information and click Submit. Or if you prefer, pick up a Membership Application at the library Circulation Desk.
Starting on June 17, the Friends will be sponsoring its annual "Beach Reading!" paperback book sale. You will find the sale items on a wire book rack opposite the main Circulation Desk. All paperback books will cost just 50 cents each. Come and check it out! Have a great summer of vacation reading!
