|This is a story about "tappin' shoes" and thousands of other wishes and dreams we fulfilled because of the help of a wonderful, caring community. For weeks, we've heard pleas, commercials and begging from agencies, like ours, for food, for gifts and toys, to make the season bright. In my mind, I hold all the dolls and cars, gift cards and warm gloves that went to our neighbors in need. In my heart, I hold stories, like little Mia's. One day, I asked her, "What do you want for Christmas?" and she said, "Tappin' shoes." |
As I leave my office today to enjoy Christmas with my family, my last stop will be Mia's house. Most of you know, we do food here. But, today, and so many days, we do dreams-come-true, thanks to you.
May the holidays bless you.
