Dear town leaders: The funding of our local town library is of the utmost importance to my friends, neighbors, family and all Longmeadow residents. We are all hoping that you will find the necessary money in the budget to keep the Storrs Library open for 50 full hours a week. It is the heart of our community!
The library is a necessary public institution and a resource for people of all ages. In times of economic recession, it is even more important than ever to provide free use of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs and the myriad invaluable programs for children and adults.
We have a group of excellent staff members who are needed and loved in the community! Please do whatever you can to save Storrs!
