Tax rate affects economic growth
Dear Mr. Dobbs,
Your column in the Jan. 3 Reminder complained about the loss of manufacturing in America.
I recently read that Canada's economy is doing fairly well. Our tax rate is 35 percent. They have dropped their rate to 18 percent and are talking about going down to 15 percent.
I know this is an anathema to you libs, but every time tax reductions are tried, the economy grows as does the flow to the federal and state treasury.
Contrary to liberal dogma, more regulations and higher taxes are not a remedy. As the last elections indicated, government is not the solution. It is the problem.
