Thanks town for donating land to Sgt. Ecker

Our family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the town of East Longmeadow for voting to donate land to Sgt. Mark Ecker. When our family moved to East Longmeadow many years ago, we chose this town for many reasons; the school system, the location and the community as a whole. Our children grew up here, went through the school system, and East Longmeadow truly became our home. When Mark got injured, we were amazed and overwhelmed by the support and caring that came from this community. We still ponder and have difficulty expressing how much we have all been comforted by the generosity and support of the residents. Mark's recovery has been a long, difficult road, and as he has stated before, East Longmeadow's support has been instrumental in helping his progress. This home being built for Mark will give him a lifetime of physical and emotional comfort. There are no words to express, as a family, what that means to us. We want to thank the selectmen, John Romito, the volunteers, and all the members of the East Longmeadow community for being there. We are ever so grateful.
