I would like to commend David Gromaski and the East Longmeadow Department of Public Works for the fine job they have done in maintaining the ice at Heritage Park. Many children and families are enjoying skating and playing hockey both during the day and at night.

In today's society, it would be very easy for the town to discontinue this practice. I think it is important for the children to leave the computers and video games for some fresh air and outdoor exercise. I am happy that the children are able to enjoy some of the same fun activities that we had growing up.
