We are hometown news

Thank you for your support

May 22, 2014
In the fall of 2013, we were fortunate to have participated in the East Longmeadow Silent Auction on behalf of the East Longmeadow Scholarship Foundation. I say fortunate because we became acutely aware of the generosity and commitment many of our area businesses have to the families here in town. Many businesses overwhelmed me with their generous contributions.

The following businesses participated: Graziano Gardens, Tokyo Grill, Ninety-nine Restaurant & Pub, Pizza Makers, Ron Lavoie and Sons, A&E Styles Unisex Salon, Memory Lane Lamps, Healthtrax, Broadalbin Christian Bookstore, Gilbert’s Written Word, Elements Massage, Robert Charles Photography, Ski Haus, Boston Market, A.W. Brown’s, Frigo’s Foods, Shaker Bowl, Merry Maids, Arnold’s Meats, Quilts and Treasures Inc., The Pizza Shoppe, Fat Trax, Coughlin’s Place, Chili’s, Beauty Times, Meadow’s Driving School, Century Fitness, Big Y World Class Market, The Dog Shop, Panera Bread, Just B, Visual Changes Inc., Peppas Pizza, Edible Arrangements, The Cruise Store, Dr. Belisa Basile Optometrist, Master Han’s Olympic Taekwondo, American Pest Solutions, Attain Therapy + Fitness, AAA, Pride, Formal Affair Tuxedos & Tailor Shop, Let’s Yo, Pasquale’s Tavern, Target of Enfield, Conn., GoGeeks, Springfield Auto School, Stephen Allen Jewelers, 3 J’s Tires, Leone’s Restaurant, Friendly’s, Bentley’s Bistro, Fazios Ristorante and Pizzeria, Subway, Furnari Jewelers, Enfield Square, Pat Parker & Sons Florist, the Boston Red Sox Organization, Reid’s Corner, Deejay Jim Furness, Dunkin’ Donuts and CityStage.

The East Longmeadow Scholarship Fund has provided more than $600,000 in awards for college to deserving East Longmeadow High School students since 1961. This particular fundraising event raised $1,350. We are grateful to each business that participated.

Thank you also to Reminder Publications, who assisted us with publishing and advertising. This publication was crucial to our endeavors. Thank you to the people who purchased items at the Silent Auction and to all the businesses that generously donated.

We encourage Reminder readers to be supportive of these businesses and the upcoming Silent Auction on Thanksgiving 2014 at the East Longmeadow High School football game.
