Thank you National Grid

In response to your front page article “National Grid explains outages,” I want to thank National Grid for the oustanding job they did after the June 1 tornado.

We lost power here in Hampden but I must admit when it was restored, I felt rather selfish that we had power when so many people had lost their homes and some their lives. We were inconvenienced only slightly while others had their lives changed in ways we can never totally comprehend. I would say we were blessed that the impact of this horrible tornado affected us so little.

Far be it from me to complain to a company who, in my opinion, did a remarkable job in a very short time. Thank you again for all your efforts.
