Vote in Senate race Oct. 25,
2012 |
|
I watched the news and interviews of Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren during our time of financial, economic, and job upheaval not knowing that each would be the candidates for our 2012 senate seat. I thought I would share and reference events and interviews of Scott and Elizabeth representing our families, businesses, and our nation.
When candidates are elected I first say a prayer for their truthfulness and service to represent us, and then their phone numbers go into my cell phone.
After Scott was elected, I witnessed during the evening news Scott's response to a reporter's question as to what kind of changes he'd like to see to the financial reform bill, "Well, what areas do you think should be fixed? I mean, you know, tell me, and then I'll get a team and go fix it."
So I began two years of action calls to Scott's office(s) to share insight, knowledge, publications and issues. In turn I tried repeatedly to obtain Scott's position and reasoning for upcoming votes. Holding the deciding vote for financial reform, Scott leveraged exemption(s) for select interests. Scott's heavily one sided voting record speaks loudly and is of particular concern because Scott states in his recent TV political ad that he is the same Scott Brown that he has always been.
Even earlier I was watching PBS series of "Frontline," "Charlie Rose," "NOW, Need to Know," and "Bill Moyer" each of which were fact finding the issues and truth surrounding the financial crisis. These shows were interviewing or featuring Elizabeth Warren's knowledge, understanding, and advocacy to help our country, particularly individuals, families, and small businesses. Working diligently with standards of excellence and commitment, Elizabeth delivered solutions to serve our nation while communicating clear understanding of issues for all to comprehend.
Elizabeth's intelligence, integrity, and initiative shines through, particularly as architect of The Consumer Protection Agency which has already proved successful in protecting families and individuals and making sure corporations operate within the rules to ensure fairness and success. Rules in sports, if understood by all, enable players, spectators, officials and owners to enjoy and to expand the success of the sport.
I am an independent, 25 years self-employed, committed hard worker, and educated in fields relevant to our country's future. This senate race is extremely important for the well-being and future of each individual in our country. Each one of us needs to vote and to vote wisely!
I cast my vote for Elizabeth Warren to shape the dialogue and direction of our Senate as it is in need of intelligence, integrity and initiative. Elizabeth's strong and truthful advocacy for transparency in government and corporate performance deserves accolades of applause. Thank you Elizabeth for your long term authentic leadership, commitment, and hard work representing households, small businesses, our rights, Massachusetts, and our nation.
