Vote out the incumbents

I would like to reply to a letter in today’s Reminder, “As usual, Dobbs is right.”

I’m sure you’re happy that there is another cool aid drinker out there who buys into the flimflam that Democrats are good, Republicans bad. But, this is Massachusetts after all.

The reality of politics is that both parties are to blame. There may have been a time in the letter writer’s father’s life when Democrat politicians actually cared about the working man and the Republicans only cared about big business. But, like the old Chevy ad, “These are not your father’s Democrats.”

Today, both parties are bought and paid for by special interests. Money is king and politicians of both stripes will switch sides based on who has the most cash. I suspect the politicians get together behind closed doors and laugh at the rubes who quote the parties’ talking points as if they were facts rather than spin.

Stalin referred to them as “useful idiots.” Want real change? Start by voting out all incumbents and keep doing it until they stop serving themselves and start serving the people who put them in their cushioned jobs.
