Reminder's 50th Anniversary celebration continues with Hometown Hero Awards

HOLYOKE — Reminder Publications Inc. honored 11 Hometown Heroes at a ceremony at the Log Cabin on Feb. 2.

The awards were created 10 years ago in honor of the late Anne Buendo, co-founder of Reminder Publications, who made it her life's mission to be of service to the community. The awards were presented through three categories: Business, Citizen and Youth.

The Heroes honored this year were Gianna Allentuck (Citizen), Denise Cote (Citizen), Evelyn Humphries (Youth), George Laroe (Citizen), Mary Pat McMahon(Citizen), Lisa Mindell (Youth), Rosemarie Molinari Myers (Citizen), Joe Peters (Citizen), Andrew Robitaille (Youth), Zachary Sabadosa (Youth) and Michael Sullivan (Business).
