As one of 205 food banks across the nation participating in the first-ever national Hunger Action Month, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has invited speakers from across the Commonwealth who will challenge us to be innovative in our shared mission. They include:
Keynote speaker: Julie E. Kehoe, Commissioner of the MA Department of Transitional Assistance
Corporate partner: Nick Fyntrilakis, Assistant Vice President Community Responsibility and State Government Relations, MassMutual Financial Group
The event will conclude with an interfaith community charge led by Bishop Margaret Payne, New England Synod/Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; Rabbi Justin David, B'Nai Israel, Northampton; Monsignore Dan Liston, Catholic Diocese of Springfield; Reverend Jill Graham, Acting Associate Conference Minister, United Church of Christ; Imam Rasul Faheem Seifullah, Al-Baqi Islamic Center, Springfield; and Dr. M. Saleem Bajwa, Islamic Society of Western Massachusetts.
Afterwards, please join us for soup & bread as a symbolic act to forge a coalition for a hunger-free western Massachusetts!
