The Ocean of My Heart
I'm on the beach, watching the waves lap the shore,
and taking in all that I adore.
There are young people playing volleyball,
then the children building castles, and that's not all.
People with lotion all over their skin -
some of them big around and some of them thin.
There are seagulls flying around,
looking for food on the ground.
The sun now is going down,
with wonderful colors all around,
putting my angel child into bed,
saying a prayer and kissing his head.
The angels lovingly watch him sleep,
while I pray for him and repeat:
Lord God up above,
watch over my sweet child with your love.
