What I Forgot
What I forgot this morning
was my time to pray.
Then there were the words
that I wanted to say.
Lord God up above,
please hear my prayer.
Let my child in heaven
know that I do care.
Let me know that with the angels
he will always be.
Then show me how to hold him in my arms
for eternity.
So, little angel child of mine,
can you feel me near
as I comfort with a little love,
driving away all my fear?
