Inspired by a Dream

I wake up in the haze of morning

My mind floating in the remnants of a dream.

Where things are more than they appear

And far different than they seem.

I leave my bed and rush to my desk

My heart flooded with inspiration.

I write with a passion that flows from inside.

And a touch of imagination.

I write of pain and the joy of love

Or sometimes a dragon or two

I write about anger and sadness

I write of rebirth, life anew.

My heart and my soul are poured into my work

My mind thinks only of rhyme.

Only when I write do I truly live

I will write to the end of my time.
