AGAWAM There's still time for would-be golfers and tournament sponsors to tee up for the Second Annual Tim Daggett Gold Medal Scramble, slated for Sept. 12 at the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick.

A fundraiser for Daggett Gymnastics competitive boys' and girls' teams, this event, organized by the Daggett Gymnastics Booster Club, helps defray travel expenses for the team's competition season, which this year included sending 10 athletes to the Junior Olympics and several team members to the Visa Championships in Dallas.

The tournament begins with registration at 11 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. start. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place foursomes, for the longest drive and the player who comes closest to the pin. All golfers will receive a box lunch, gift bag and post-play dinner in the Ranch's Pavilion. A raffle for great prizes, including a foursome at The Ranch, and a silent auction for sports memorabilia will round out the evening.

Cost to play in the Gold Medal Scramble is $140 per individual golfer, $560 for a foursome. Sponsorships begin at $100 for a tee or green sign and range from $175 for a golf cart sponsorship to $550 for a bronze medal sponsorship, $750 for a silver medal sponsorship, $900 for a gold medal sponsorship and $1,950 for a tournament sponsorship.

Checks should be made payable to the Daggett Gymnastics Booster Club and mailed to the Club at 103 Gold St., Agawam, MA 01001, Attn: Golf.
