The championship win capped a 15-0 season for Central. Over the past two seasons, the Eagles have lost just one game, compiling a 29-1 record. Senior Ruth Restivo earned MVP honors in the game after scoring both Eagles goals in the victory. Goalkeeper Molly Delaney posted 12 shutouts on the season, adding to an already remarkable summer for the senior. Delaney helped the West team win the gold medal at the Bay State Games in June with two saves in an overtime shootout win over the Northeast squad. Central's 2010 summer league competition included East Longmeadow, West Springfield, Frontier, Wilbraham, Westfield, Amherst, Hopkins Academy, Granby, Monson and Chicopee.
