The New England NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships took place at UMass Dartmouth Feb. 19 through 22. Among the 22 participating colleges was Westfield State College, and freshman Kimi Schmidt won both the one meter and three meter diving events.

Schmidt scored 400.80 points on the one meter event and 421.45 points on the three meter event. These scores have also qualified her for NCAA Division III Nationals.

Schmidt is a Longmeadow High School graduate (2008) and holds the 2007 and 2008 Diving Championships titles for W. Mass.
