Falcons back on WHYN AM 560 for 2009-10 season

SPRINGFIELD The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced that they have agreed to terms with Clear Channel Communications to broadcast all 80 games (40 home and 40 away) on WHYN AM 560 during the 2009-10 season.

"We are very excited to be returning to WHYN AM 560," Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon said. "We have had a strong relationship with Clear Channel Communications over the years and we are thrilled to be partnered once again with the Pioneer Valley's leader in radio sports programming. Our continued partnership with Clear Channel Communications is just another positive step in the right direction for us as an organization as we continue to prepare for the 2009-10 season."

Once again for the 2009-10 campaign, Mike Kelly will handle the on-air play-by-play duties for the Falcons. Kelly will be entering his third season in Springfield as the voice of the Falcons.

"The Falcons are an important part of what makes Springfield a wonderful city," Clear Channel Communications Vice President and Market Manager Sean Davey said. "We are proud to have WHYN AM 560 broadcast their games, and we are looking forward to a great 2009-10 season."
