The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL) made a final check presentation of $4,500 to the local Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Red Cross as part of the tornado relief jersey auction efforts. In total, the Falcons donated $13,250 to the local Red Cross this summer for their tornado relief efforts.
“We can’t thank our fans and our partners throughout both the AHL and NHL enough for their support in our efforts to assist all families in need of relief,” Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon said. “Starting with the tornado in June, many families throughout the Pioneer Valley have needed assistance and we wanted to lend a helping hand any way possible. We also want to thank our fans and all of our loyal supporters for their donations either through the online auction, or their generous donations they dropped off at our office. Thank you very much.”
