SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Falcons (30-14-4-3) returned to the ice on Feb. 22 with an exciting 5-2 victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the MassMutual Center that featured a 2012-2013 AHL single-game high 244 penalty minutes. The Falcons took to the road on Feb. 23 and 24, dropping decisions of 3-0 and 5-1 to the Syracuse Crunch and Worcester Sharks. Springfield's lead in the Northeast Division stands at 10 points with four games in hand over the Connecticut Whale entering the 21st week of the season.
The Falcons return to the MassMutual Center to host Adirondack on March 1, concluding their suspended Feb. 17 contest at 6:05 p.m. before playing a full game versus the Phantoms at 7:30 p.m. Springfield welcomes Providence to The Nest on March 2 at 7 p.m. and finishes its home three-in-three on March 3, taking on the Sharks at 3 p.m.

March 1 versus. Adirondack: Irish Night and Flat-Screen Friday; March 2 versus. Providence: Pink In The Rink Night presented by TD Bank to benefit the Mary Kay Foundation, including a Pink Thundersticks giveaway and Cycle Saturday; and March 3 versus Worcester: Youth jersey giveaway presented by Dunkin Donuts and a postgame skate with Falcons players as well as a food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
