Earlier this year, Longmeadow Youth Basketball Association (LYBA) 8th grader Allison Mishol claimed two free throw shooting championships. In February, representing her 8th grade LYBA travel team, Mishol became the first Longmeadow player to ever win the Golden Knights Invitational Basketball Tournament shooting competition. Then in April, Mishol captured the Knights of Columbus state free throw championship for 13-year-old girls in Boston, making 21 of 25 free throws in regulation, then hitting five of five shots in a three-way shoot-off to claim the state crown.
