Human Resources Unlimited ready to rumble with Black & Blue Dodgeball Tournament

SPRINGFIELD Human Resources Unlimited (HRU) announces its third annual fundraising event, the "fun raising" Dodgeball Tournament at AllSport Soccer Arena in Northampton on Nov. 15 from 6 to 10 p.m.

The Black & Blue Dodgeball Tournament has become an opportunity for HRU to raise funds for disadvantaged or disabled people using their services to assist them with the various needs they might not be able to secure on their own such as educational tuition and fee expenses, transportation support consisting of lifts and driving enhancements. All proceeds go directly to these various client needs, which include participants of the Forum House. Tournament expenses such as location, concession and T-shirts are donated. Dedicated volunteers and board members staff the event.

Last year 18 teams battled for the coveted Dodgeball Champion Trophy! Your team can consist of six to 10 players made up of friends, co-workers or neighbors. The cost for participation is $25 per player or $300 per team. A Kid's League for children ages 10 to 15 is $60 per team. For further details, e-mail Patti@HRU.org or Lynda@HRU.org or call 781-5359.
