Mack helps Elms past MCLA Oct. 9,

CHICOPEE – Elms College freshman outside hitter Alexandra Mack of Wilbraham finished with eight kills and 16 digs to help pace the Blazers to a 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 18-25, 25-22) victory over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in an Oct. 4 non-conference women's volleyball match at Picknelly Arena.
Mack also notched a team-high 10 kills, in a 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 25-23) loss to Lesley University on Sept. 29.
Cudnik medals in quad match
BOSTON – Elms College junior Tyler Cudnik of Hampden earned individual medalist honors shooting a collegiate-career low round of 70 to help spark the Blazers to a team score of 307 and earn first place in an Oct. 3 quad match hosted by Emmanuel College.
Phil Rurak of Wilbraham added a score of 80 and sophomore Alison Cowles of East Longmeadow rounded out the Blazers' lineup with a score of 96.
Morin, Wildcats keep winning
LONGMEADOW – Springfield's Stephanie Morin won twice as the Bay Path College tennis team handed a 9-0 shutout of New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent the Mariners of Mitchell College 9-0 on Oct. 3 in wet, foggy weather.
Morin won second doubles by a score of 6-2, 6-0 and then was part of the No. 1 doubles team that won 8-2.
Bay Path falls to Mitchell
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Bay Path College volleyball player Ashley Provost of Ludlow, Mass., recorded 13 assists in a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-13) loss to Mitchell College on Oct. 2. Zucco solid in loss
WORCESTER – Freshman goalkeeper Nick Zucco of Ludlow was solid between the pipes for Worcester State University as he turned aside five shots – including a trio in overtime – but Westfield State junior Kristian Driscoll scored off a header with three seconds left in the first overtime to help lift the visiting Owls past Worcester State, 2-1 on Sept. 29.
Footit competes at Keene State Invitational
KEENE, N.H. – Sophomore Elizabeth Footit of Wilbraham, Mass., placed 22nd with a time of 21:14 as the Springfield College women's cross country team earned a third-place at the Keene State Invitational on Sept. 29.
