Meddowe Base Ball Club trounces Hartford Dark Blues

The Meddowe Base Ball Club completed their sweep of the Hartford Dark Blues this past Sunday. Though severe thunderstorms rendered the Forest Park diamond at the Grandstand "unplayable," the Meddowe and Hartford Nines threw the sacks down on the lawn adjacent and proceeded to play a seven-inning and a nine-inning match of the 1861 rules.

In a tremendous display of power the Meddowe ballists prevailed six aces to none in the first match and 14-3 in the second match.

The ball club's took on the Whately Pioneers on Sunday at a contest which took place in Forest Park.
