East Longmeadow native Gary Popovich, son of Gregory and Carol Popovich, capped his soccer career at Wilbraham and Monson Academy with recognition of his accomplishments by coaches and league officials. He was selected by the Massachusetts Soccer Coaches Association to the Massachusetts 2007 Prep School All-State Soccer Team. He was also an All-Star Player in the 2007 Senior Bowl. Recently, he was selected for another honor when he was named to the 33-player Western New England Preparatory School Soccer Association (WNEPSSA) Class L/M Select Team squad. Popovich was a member of the Titans' 2006 New England Championship team and helped propel this year's squad into the playoffs.
