Prices for Falcons single-game tickets unchanged

SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Falcons announced recently that single-game tickets for the 2013-14 season will go on sale at the MassMutual Center box office and online at Ticketmaster.com on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.

The Falcons’ 20th anniversary season begins on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at the MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield.

In addition to various promotions throughout the season to celebrate 20 years of Falcons hockey in Springfield, the team will also keep the single-game ticket prices the same as they were in 2012-2013.

Prices will remain $20 for adults and $13 for children ages 14 and younger.

Premium seating will remain priced at $25.

“We are happy to announce that we will hold the line on our box office prices for the upcoming season,” Falcons President Bruce Landon said Tuesday. “It is important that we understand our market and do everything we can to make Falcons hockey affordable for fans of all ages.”

Tickets for the team’s pre-season game versus the Hartford Wolf Pack on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. will also go on sale September 21.

Fans are invited back to the MassMutual Center in 2013-14 to watch the reigning Northeast Division-champion Falcons compete in their 20th anniversary season. Adult season-ticket packages start as low as $13 per game.

To reserve seats for the upcoming season, call 739-GOAL (4625) or visit the team office inside the MassMutual Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Upcoming home games include a the preseason opener against Hartford on Sept. 27; opening night on Oct. 5, including a 20th anniversary celebration; Oct. 12 and 26 against Worcester; Nov. 1 and 2 against Hartford; and Hometown Heroes Night, sponsored by the University of New Haven, on Nov. 8 against Adirondack.

In preparation for its 20th anniversary season, the Falcons launched its new website on Sept. 12.

The site was designed and produced by Infinity Pro Sports.

“We are very excited to release our new website, as it will bring a new dimension of engagement and interactivity to the fans,” Sarah Pompea, the team’s vice president, said. “It has a sleek, new look and additional features that will provide fans with everything they need to know about the Falcons as well as the opportunity to stay connected with the team at all times.”

The site features a new look and feel, offering more features and allowing for simpler navigation.

The interactivity of fan polls and social media as well as an emphasis on community initiatives – such as Screech’s Kids Club and the Falcons Faithful Fan Club – creates an environment that heavily promotes fan engagement.

Information regarding ticket packages, group nights, community efforts, upcoming games, merchandise and multimedia are all readily available from the home page.
