SLAMM'S 2012 season underway

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield SLAMM, the premier summer pro-am basketball team in Western New England, has gotten off to a good start in the ultra competitive Greater Hartford Pro-Am Summer basketball League.

Head Coach Steve Sobel and his staff of Ethan Sobel, associate head coach, Manute Sharma, assistant coach, Robert Zeller, director of player personnel, Charles Kittredge, director of community relations and Sponsorships, have worked tirelessly to continue to recruit top talent such as University of Massachusetts player Maxie Escho, a 6-foot-8 forward, as well as University of Hartford sophomore and captain Yolanzo Moore.

Jeremy Lamb, who played for Sobel the last two years, and played for the University of Connecticut, was a lottery pick in the NBA draft.

Sobel will also be conducting for the tenth year in a row his Elite Hoops Shooting Clinics for high school players in August. SLAMM FAN T-Shirts are also available.
