Springfield native named Division I Third Team All-American
SPRINGFIELD Accolades continue for Northeast Community College guard Jasmine Lovejoy of Springfield.

The Northeast sophomore has been named a Division I Third Team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

With Matt Svehla as her head coach, Lovejoy averaged 16.3 points and 2.9 steals a game for the 25-7 Hawks last season.

She has also been named honorary captain of the Omaha World-Herald's All-Nebraska Junior College team.

Other honors this year for Lovejoy have included the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference (NCCAC) All-Conference team and All Region IX Team. The Northeast women's Hawks won the NCCAC title this past season.
