SPRINGFIELD The football career for the highest scoring kicker
in Western New England College history is over.
Senior James Farrell of East Longmeadow enjoyed another successful season this past fall finishing seventh in the New England Football Conference (NEFC) with 36 points. He converted 30 extra point attempts and made two field goals.
A Criminal Justice major, Farrell ended his career with a school-record 146 points (92 extra points, 18 field goals) in 38 games.
Western New England College posted a 3-7 record, but ended the season by winning two of its final three contests.
The Golden Bears ranked eighth among 16 teams in the conference with a 25.6 scoring average.
