All-Star cheerleading team the USA Wildcats recently won the U.S. Finals East. They are a co-ed team based out of Enfield, Conn., with members from all over Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. They received a paid bid by placing first in a competition in Springfield a few months ago. Their division contained 17 teams from the Eastern U.S. and Canada and they won the competition which took place in Virginia Beach April 30 through May 2. There were four other finals around the country and the winners were announced May 22 via a Webcast from theusfinals.com. This is the second year that both the Junior and Senior Wildcat teams have won the title of U.S. Finals Champions. Local cheerleaders include Erin Simon, Te'a and Octavia Kenney of East Longmeadow and Hayley Miller of Longmeadow.
