The 5th grade Suburban Basketball Team, comprised of all 5th graders from Longmeadow, went a perfect 19-0 and won the championship in early March by beating Southwick in a very close game. The boys were being compared to the Patriots who were also 18-0 going into the Super Bowl. These boys had to endure the pressure and the comments about not being like the Patriots and they did it.

They started practicing in early November and worked very hard. The team was coached by Mark Hurwitz and Rudy D'Agostino.
