WNE to host baseball clinic Sept. 17,

SPRINGFIELD – The Western New England University (WNE) baseball program will host a fall clinic for high-school age players on Oct. 8 from 1 to 6 p.m. at George E. Trelease Memorial Baseball Park.
The cost is $125 per child and parent(s) or legal guardian must complete the registration form (available for download) with payment to Matt LaBranche, head baseball coach, WNE, 1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA 01119. Hurry, space is limited. Checks may be payable to WNE Baseball.
Participants will receive advanced instruction and evaluation from the Golden Bear coaching staff, position play to include skills and drills for all positions, hitting technique with on-field batting practice and an instructional game with live at-bats.
One of the most successful Division III coaches in the nation, LaBranche wrapped up his 13th season at the WNE helm. He has an outstanding 395-174 record for an impressive .694 winning percentage after the Golden Bears went 38-13 overall (.745) and 15-1 en route to the Commonwealth Coast Conference regular-season and tournament championships last spring. WNE was polled 17th by National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association/D3baseball.comD3baseball.com and 23rd in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
