SPRINGFIELD – The April 4 Culture & Cocktails event brought 750 flower lovers to view the opening of the Springfield Museum’s annual four-day Festival of Flowers. Shown here are some highlights from the event: an arrangement titled “Moose” designed by students from Pathfinder Regional Vocational High School, in the Museum of Science (upper left); and an installation titled “Did ‘I Do?’”  by the design team from Springfield-based Flowers Flowers!, in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts (upper right).

In the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum, Vicki Smith and Alana Hoffman of the Springfield Garden Club interprets the statue of “Aphrodite” in the Classical Casts Hall (right) and Peter Soule of Durocher Florist crafted an arch interpreting works in the American Painting Salon (left). Visitors Isobel Field of Greenfield, left in the arch, and Nan Rudolph, right, of Longmeadow, shared that they make it a point to visit the Festival of Flowers event at the museums every year, saying they “Wouldn’t miss it.”
