HOLYOKE – On Dec. 4, two groups of U.S. Army recruits gathered at the Holyoke Mall to take their Oath of Enlistment to serve on active duty or in the U.S. Army Reserves. The enlistment ceremonies, which took place at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., were led by Cpt. Stephen Lariviere who serves as the Commander for the Springfield Army Recruiting Company. The Company is comprised of seven recruiting stations located in Pittsfield, Sturbridge, South Hadley, Worcester, West Springfield, Fitchburg and Milford.

Recruits who took the Oath during the 11 a.m. ceremony included residents from Worcester, South Hadley, West Springfield and Sturbridge.?The following recruits took the Oat during the 11 a.m. ceremony:?Amber Afton, Divin Banza, Erick Davila, James Herman, Ethan Lichwan, Cole Maslanka, Ernest Pedanou, Tamara Rodriguez, Rafael Torres and Gang Tran.
