SPRINGFIELD — A new eatery opened last week with a preview attended by elected and business leaders.

Adolfo’s owner Victor Bruno has opened Art e Pizza near his other restaurant on Worthington Street in Springfield.

Standing in front of his pizza oven, Bruno explained, “It is different than any other pizza around here, the pizzas are made to order and cook within 90 -120 seconds in our custom brick oven with temperatures reaching as high as 700 degrees.

Bruno, along with Chef Jos Augustino, demonstrated how the oven with a rotating base cooks a pizza in seconds.

Wings, ribs, octopus, calamari, and a classic rib eye are also prepared in this Italian style brick oven are also featured on the menu.

Springfield Business Importment District Executive Director Chris Russell told Reminder Publications that two more new restaurants are scheduled to open this year.
