WEST SPRINGFIELD – The annual Woodworking Shows (TWWS), which are usually held at the Big E in the middle of January, will not be in-person until at least March 2021.

In a statement sent out to exhibitors, educators, makers, and the rest of the woodworking community, Producer and Owner Bryce Beerman said that TWWS have been working on various show scenarios, and a new website with further digital capabilities, while also waiting to see how the pandemic continues to play out.

"With so many unknowns affecting each show location, we have made the very difficult decision to not hold any in-person shows through March 2021,” said Beerman in a statement. “We will reassess the situation in the spring of 2021, and we will be sure to keep you informed of any and all developments.”

For the time being, TWWS has announced its first online woodworking education seminars, which will be launching shortly, according to Beerman.

“We are also currently working on plans for ‘The Woodworking Show – Virtual’ to launch in early 2021,” said Beerman in his statement. “We will be in touch with further details around timing, exhibitor registration and tickets.”

For residents who have attended these shows in the past at the Big E and other exhibits in New England, TWWS is also asking for some support through social media sharing or forwarding TWWS emails to friends.

“We have truly missed being on the show floor, sharing stories, and seeing all the amazing woodworking projects up close and in person,” said Beerman. “We know that this will be a temporary adjustment to TWWS, and that we will be able to gather safely with the woodworking community in the not so distant future.”

TWWS associates did not respond to requests for comment as of press time.
