HAMPDEN – Hampden town department heads gathered on the stairs of the Town House to celebrate its reopening to the public on June 1. The Town House, Library and Senior Center have been largely closed to the public during the pandemic.

Board of Selectmen member John Flynn noted that while the building is now opening to the public, “it’s been doing the town’s business this whole time.” Interim Town Administrator Bob Markel thanked the departments and staff for maintaining services thoroughout the “COVID crisis,” adding that he was looking forward to “normalcy.”

The Senior Center is open, but not offering programming until June 15.
