Suffield Players to present 'Night Sky'

SUFFIELD, CT – The Suffield Players proudly announce their celestial and uplifting winter production, “Night Sky,” written by Susan Yankowitz.

Directed by Chris Rohmann, this modern play blending comedy, drama and romance for adult audiences performs on Feb. 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 8 p.m., and Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at Mapleton Hall in Suffield, CT.

“Night Sky” is the story of Anna, a lively and gifted astronomer who loses her articulation due to a condition called aphasia. Loved ones, doctors, co-workers, all rally round her recovery, but if you reach for the stars, what happens on earth?

The Suffield Players’ “Night Sky” features talented actors from both the Massachusetts and Connecticut areas. The cast: Karen Balaska from Somers, CT; Emery Henderson from Southampton; Shaun O’Keefe from Enfield, CT; Dana Ring from West Hartford, CT; Brian Rucci from Suffield, CT; and Virginia Wolf from Farmington, CT.

Behind-the-Scenes Talents: Set design by Konrad Rogowski from Chicopee and Kelly Seip from Springfield; technical direction and lighting design by Jerry Zalewski from Enfield, CT; stage management by Mary Fernandez-Sierra from Russell, Bob Williams from Ellington, CT, and Dorrie Mitchell from West Hartford, CT; with costume consulting by Dawn McKay from Suffield, CT.
