Dukette named SPHS vice president

SPRINGFIELD – Diane Dukette, a resident of West Springfield, has joined the Sisters of Providence Health System (SPHS) as vice president of fund development.
In this role, she serves as a key member of the SPHS leadership team, is responsible for all fundraising and development efforts and will lead major gifts. Dukette will also design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating individual and philanthropic support. She will play a key role in driving philanthropic support for key SPHS initiatives including the recently announced expansion of the Sister Caritas Cancer Center.
Dukette returns to SPHS with more than 20 years of experience in development, corporate administration, strategic marketing and fund raising. Most recently, she served as vice president of Development at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, where she achieved tremendous success in fundraising and directed a comprehensive development program including capital campaigns, annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, events, stewardship, and operations.
Dukette has also served in a number of capacities at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, such as assistant vice chancellor for advancement and executive director of development, as well as director of development for the Isenberg School of Management.
Early in her career, she worked at Brightside for Families and Children for several years, serving as director of major gifts and special events coordinator.
Dukette received a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a master’s degree in business administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. She has served on the Board of Women in Development of Western Massachusetts, the Alumni Association of Smith College and she is a former chair of the Board of Trustees for the West Springfield Public Library.
