HAMPDEN –  On July 20, the Hampden Senior Center hosted the Scantic River Artisans “Surfin Art Show,” featuring artists from around the area. Dozens of painters and photographers had their work on display, alongside tables containing jewelry, books, and carved-wood boxes, cutting boards, and bowls. Nearly all of the art was for sale and many of the artists were on-hand to talk about their work with the art show attendees.
