CHICOPEE — Beauty Batlles Lounge, an advanced beauty spa in Chicopee, will soon add advanced wellness to its offerings as it relocates to a larger space.

Currently located at 661 Front St., Suite B, Beauty Batlles will be moving operations to 46 Cabot St.
Beauty Batlles has been in business for five years, four of which have been at the Front Street location. The first year, owner Ashley Batlle provided her services behind a curtain, inside of a business in Holyoke.

Currently, Batlle’s spa is in a 700-square-foot space. She shared that the space on Cabot Street, which used to be a dance studio, is 1,600 square feet. Before renovation, Batlle said there were two large rooms divided by one door. Since purchasing the space, Batlle said they have built 10 treatment rooms – five on each side. A wall was knocked down to conjoin the rooms, along with creating a waiting area, office space, changing area, storage and bathrooms.

Although the timeline for the grand opening keeps changing, Batlle said construction is almost complete. She is hoping to be open by the end of April or beginning of May.

The new location is slated to offer advanced services to customers such as cryotherapy. Batlle explained that cryotherapy is a form of coolsculpting or lipo freeze. “The cold is helping your body break down or cure something,” Batlle said.

She went on to say that she will be bringing in a cryo chamber that customers stand inside of, with their heads sticking out. The purpose of this is to drop internal body temperature which wakes someone up, increases oxygen flow and more. Batlle said the benefits include better sleep, pain relief and weight loss, to name a few.

Other new amenities include a sensory deprivation bed which shuts down all senses and forces the body into deep relaxation, a sauna and a Himalayan salt chamber that helps with the respiratory system. Batlle said the salt chamber benefits skin, along with people who have allergies and asthma.

Along with the advanced wellness, Beauty Batlle’s will continue its beauty spa offerings including facials, waxing and skin treatments. Batlle shared that she plans on advancing the current services such as microblading, body sculpting and more.

“We try to offer noninvasive treatments,” Batlle said.

Including Batlle, there are four people who work at the spa. When the move happens, she will be hiring more.

Batlle noted that most of her clientele are repeat customers who have been with her from the start. Others hear of her business through social media and word of mouth.

Batlle has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2002. For many years she was in and out of the business and began doing microblading for extra income. Within a month of doing that, Batlle left her job and started the beauty lounge.

“Everything has been baby steps for me,” she said. “This move is outside my comfort zone.”

With new equipment to purchase and test, Batlle shared, “It is a little scary, but also exciting.”
