EASTHAMPTON – Over the past year, Moe Belliveau, the executive director of Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce, has hosted her podcast, “Drop the Mic.”

Belliveau told Reminder Publishing she started “Drop the Mic” to have deep conversations with other chamber members, local business owners, entrepreneurs, and anyone who might have an interesting story and have a value of interest to the community. She wanted to know who they are, what they do, what drives them to get out of bed every morning, and why they are doing what they do. “I think that is super interesting and I think we can all learn something.”

Belliveau shared that she happened to be speaking with Jenn Ramsay, the executive director of Easthampton Media, and she offered to partner with the chamber to do the production of Belliveau’s podcast.

“That took a huge weight off of my shoulders, they are super professionals and they have really helped with the quality of the podcast itself,” Belliveau said.

Before the pandemic, she was recording in their studio, now she records her podcasts remotely on zoom, and Easthampton Media makes the final product. “I really appreciate them being willing to work with us on that. We did not miss a beat, I love being in their studio and showcasing that with them, it is fun and interesting but we will get back there soon.”

Belliveau said she feels the conversations she has with people on her podcast are much more casual, organic, and relaxing so the conversations get deeper.

Episodes are published every first Thursday, once a month. Her podcast can be found on their Youtube page, Greater01027Chamber, and www.easthamptonmedia.org.
