EASTHAMPTON – Mary Ann’s Dance and More, a longtime apparel store in Easthampton, has moved their location to 163 B Northampton St. to make room for a pre-professional conservatory in their old location.

The store, which first opened in 2007, offers dance supplies, including apparel and accessories, as well as novelty and gift items. The old location was featured at 396 Main St. in Easthampton.

Along with the move comes a bevy of updates for the store. An e-commerce site is now available for people to purchase gift cards and book fitting appointments, and the website is updated to make it easier for customers to find store hours.

According to owner Mary Ann Hanlon, curbside pickup will continue to be available 24/7, as well as text messaging. The store’s new location will also provide easy access for outside studios to come into the store and look through the store’s products and catalog to find exactly what they are looking for.

“Other than the location and layout of the store, all the products and services we offered over the past 14 years will not change,” said Hanlon.

The city of Easthampton granted Hanlon occupancy which allowed the store to officially reopen at the Northampton Street location on July 20 with summer hours. Over the coming weeks, Hanlon plans on organizing her office and adjusting where needed regarding placement throughout the store.

“The new Mary Ann’s Dance and More has an entirely different feel to it,” said Hanlon. “We think the new layout is very unique compared to other dance apparel stores in the area. It’s more of a boutique than a store.”

The store will conduct in-studio fittings by going to studios and ensuring correct fit and dress code requirements. They will then deliver the items to the studio for “easy distribution.”

Mary Ann’s will work with studios to help design a studio order form for group tight orders. The studio will collect orders and payments and then Mary Ann’s delivers the tights to the studio packaged separately for each student. The store then donates 15 percent of the sales back to the studio or a charity of the studio’s choice. Student dress code requirements are listed inside the store so that students can receive correct items.

The store is now officially on Tik Tok, according to Hanlon, and new brands that are exclusive to the Western Massachusetts area will be arriving at the store. Back-2-Dance sales will officially begin in August. There will be a different discount every week with the hope that early shoppers will save the most during that time period.

Mary Ann’s is currently open Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.  Hanlon is the only person who runs and works at the store.

A 14th anniversary and grand re-opening celebration are scheduled for the week of Aug. 2. Fundraising for the Easthampton Community Center and a Bloch “Trunk Show” with new items and giveaways will occur all that week. On Aug. 5, select items will be on sale for $14 to celebrate their 14th anniversary, and on Aug. 6, Crooked Stick Pops will be providing frozen treats from 3 to 5 p.m.
