EAST LONGMEADOW – Justice Pellegrino, owner of the boutique Bohdii at 34 Center Square, is hosting a night just for the gals.

The shop, which sells clothes, shoes and accessories, has partnered with two other local businesses, Frankie Bakes and Oils with B, to put on a “Galentine’s Day” event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 8. Both businesses will have a table set up in Bohdii. During the event, customers can browse the tables and the shop and fill out a “wish list” to give their significant other.

“So when they don’t know what to get you, you can give them this,” Pellegrino said referring to the wish list.

DeVillier Design, a local event-planning company owned by a childhood friend of Pellegrino put the event together. Pellegrino said she is excited that the event will feature, “three different female entrepreneurs under 30.”

Bohdii has been open for two months, and Pellegrino said business was “great” through the holidays and has been “very steady” in January. The first–time business owner and Springfield native opened the boutique after learning about buying and retail through an internship at Faces in Northampton during college.

Pellegrino named her shop Bohdii because, she said, the Buddhist term means “freedom and enlightenment.” Her vision for the boutique is “a day-to-night” store, where customers can “find something to go to the office, to something to go out in.”

She continued, “I wanted it to be a place where a teenager, a mom and a grandmother can all find something,” which she said she has seen happen.

Pellegrino said that while the website won’t be up until spring, the shop is very active on social media.

“We’re really big on Google Business and, recently, on Yelp,” Pellegrino said. Bohdii also ships to anywhere in the United States.

Bohdii is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Pellegrino said the store will be open seven days per week this spring.
