EAST LONGMEADOW – For the second year in a row, East Longmeadow High School students started the new school year with a bang.

As part of the school’s “1st 3 Days” event, the students participated in workshops, including “Healthy Living,” and “Pathways for Success,” during the morning. Then, at noon, they enjoyed a picnic carnival on school grounds.

“It’s a great ways to start the year in a good headspace,” said Principal Gina Flanagan.

“It’s pretty good,” said Georg MacPhail, a freshman. “It’s kind of annoying to come back to school, so it’s nice to do this.”
