The East Longmeadow Fire Department was presented with the Scantic Valley Regional Trust’s (SVRT) first “Make Your Site a More Well Award.  This award purchases a firefighter turnout gear dryer to be used in conjunction with a new extractor the department has recently purchased. The purchase of this equipment assists the firefighters in decontaminating their gear from cancer-causing chemicals.
